Name Change

I'm dropping "Arena" from the title. Long ago, I was writing working on this setting as an RPG. When I started work on the minis game version I included "Arena" in the title as a nod to Quake 3 and to differentiate the projects in my own mind. But as this project has progressed, and that one has not, I've chosen to just go with the stronger clearer name.

New Version

Lots of changes in this version, although they are rather subtle. 

  • 3 new pieces of art by Del Teigeler. Mavfire@gmail.com. https://dteigeler.artstation.com/
  • New Fluff by yours truly. 
  • New Points Costs: This means fewer models, but frankly there are many times when a model will go inactivated because the action economy is so spartan. 
  • Sniper Rifle has been completely re-worked to make it simpler and more in keeping with the source material. It now feels pretty close to Quake 2's Railgun.
  • Chain-Gun has been tuned to remove multiple actions. This proved to be rather game breaking as it ignored the action economy. Now the Chain-Gun can only make a second attack, not as many as it has Adrenaline. In exchange it now has +1 Support Fire.
  • Chainsaw has similarly been tuned to remove extra actions. It can still make multiple attacks, but only against multiple targets in a straight line and only once. It also requires Adrenaline to strain the target in advance. 
  • Models can now only change facing when they move (or spend Adrenaline to move). This is mostly a way to bring the rules into unity with the way I've been playing it without realizing how the rules didn't support it
